Certification
THE IADCC has secluded temporarily from IC&RC USA for the lack of applicants for Certification. However given below are the following exceptions.
1.IC&RC has a one-time certification for Drug Professionals ie it does not follow the pyramid system-There is no level one Counselor or level two Counselor. If your documents qualify and you pass the IC&RC examination , you are a globally accepted Drug and Alcohol Counselor.
2.Those of you who have taken online training classes for Addiction , it is not valid as they are not registered with The IC&RC IADCC TRUST. They are conducting classes to our knowledge without being registered or authorized by the Government of India.
3.If the online training is registered with our organization , then the online material is only 50% education of the total requirement for Education Hours
4.The ASAM Criteria is a must to complete the total Education Hours to apply for The IC&RC Certification Examination.
5.Those seeking IC&RC Certification please send an email to iadcc@gmail.com .Please ensure that you have at least have a minimum group of 30 professionals and a time frame of 30 days for pre-Examination Study at a stretch. The cost of your trainer is borne by your group
6.Purchase of Examination Training material is available by downloading the Examination Study Book Guide. You may purchase the Books for your own reading reference but you must have at least 20 people to purchase the titles of each book.
7.Books take 75 days to reach you including customs duty. Courier will be borne by you or you can personally pick up the books from our office on their arrival.
8.Those who have taken the Colombo Plan Certification and are level 3 Counselors ,and wish to also have an IC&RC Certification ,can purchase it by submitting the fees and avail of an IC&RC International Alcohol and Drug Certificate.
Type of certification offered is IC ADC (INTERNATIONALLY CERTIFIED ALCOHOL & DRUG COUNSELOR)
Certification is offered to all Addiction Professionals Medical and Non-Medical Professionals.
To be internationally certified by IC&RC IADCC is to be able to work in any of the 27 countries that IC&RC has its presence of those members who have the credential ADC OR IC ADC ( Internationally Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor).

| MSc/ MA / MSW qualify for 4000hours | 4000 hours is equal to six months of work experience hours working with Addiction Patients | |
| Undergraduates of any discipline qualify for 6000 hours | 6000 hours is equal to three years working with Addiction Patients | |
| 3 | Addiction Education Training Hours or Certified Education Hours | 350 CEH ( Certified Education Hours). | 4 | No. of Supervised Training Hours in an IC&RC Certified program | 1000 hours (six months. ( This applies to working in an IC&RC IADCC recognized program)The 4 Domains are: 1. Professional and Ethical Responsibilities I).120 hours per domain ,( approximately any five days a week ) for each domain with timings from 9am to 6pm amounts to 8 weeks completion respectively or intermittently over a period of six months. |
| 5 | Certified Counselors Renewal Educational Hours | 100 CEH for every two years by attending Workshops, Conducting IC&RC Certified programs. |
